Why Bazadais?

Bazadais are thriving in the varying Australian conditions, performing well whether fed on grass or grain. This makes Bazadais the perfect choice for Australian beef producers wanting to increase their profits and productivity.

Bazadais cattle have all the exceptional characteristics that Australian producers are looking for in stud cattle, or to infuse with a commercial herd.

Farmfest Cattleman’s Cup 2018 – Nioka Joker

Nioka Joker(P) has taken out the Cattleman’s Cup at Farmfest 2018 up against all breeds that were scanned.

The Cattleman’s Cup is about what is under the skin of an animal, the scans are what gives a good indication of what that animal is doing and the potential of what it will pass onto their progeny. Joker’s scans are incredible, showing the advancement of our stud program. Not only that his figures are impressive, but Joker also carries that 1 ton of weight with ease with his tremendous structure, length, and depth.
Quality genetics all round in this bull.  Age: 33 months, Weight: 1030kg, Rib fat: 6mm, Rump fat:6mm, IMF: 4.5% and EMA: 163.3cm²

Nioka Joker was bred by Arthur Hiscock from Nioka Bazadais Oakey and then bought by Janet Newlands of Oaktrees Bazadais. Janet is a very proud new owner as you can see in the photo with her huge smile. And I don’t see why she wouldn’t be. Within a month she has taken out Grand Champion Bazadais Male Exhibit at Beef Australia 2018 and The Cattleman’s Cup at Farmfest 2018 with Joker.
Joker will now retire from the show ring and will be incorporated into Janet’s stud herd.
